Three entrepreneurial and visionary brothers, one great invention. Björn, Alvar and Arvid Kjellström invented the first liquid-filled compass in 1933 and laid the foundation for our success story. The compass was not only the first of its kind, but also set the global standard for how navigation works. The SILVA brand was born. Only two years later, in 1935, we were able to expand our business model with our latest invention, the first Zeiler headlamp.
